MOLLY BLOOM: Now entering Brains On headquarters.

[FUTURISTIC GLITCHES]

RUBY GUTHRIE: Oh, hey, Smarty Pal, producer Rosie Dupont and I are headed to the Brains On lava pit.

ROSIE DUPONT: Yeah, lava is great for so many things. You can use it to make volcanic glass, volcanic rock, and even kettle corn.

RUBY GUTHRIE: The best kettle corn.

ROSIE DUPONT: You know Ruby and I love kettle corn.

RUBY GUTHRIE: We "lava" kettle corn.

[LAUGHTER]

[THUD]

ROSIE DUPONT: Whoa! That cage nearly landed right on top of you.

MOLLY BLOOM: Oh, hey, guys. Did you see what triggered my trap?

RUBY GUTHRIE: Molly Bloom, HR says you're not allowed to trap people in cages anymore.

MOLLY BLOOM: Ruby, as I've repeatedly told you, I've taken down all of my snares, bait, pitfalls, tripwire, footholds, and every other form of capturing apparatus.

ROSIE DUPONT: Then what's this?

MOLLY BLOOM: This is a cage I'm using to capture my missing pets.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Of course, this happened. You have too many pets, Molly. How can you keep track of them all?

ROSIE DUPONT: Wait, which ones went missing? Was it your tarantula Marci?

MOLLY BLOOM: No she's visiting her mom in Trono.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Was it your honey badger Gabriel?

MOLLY BLOOM: She's at a conference in Memphis.

ROSIE DUPONT: Oh, was it your cat Schrödinger?

MOLLY BLOOM: No, no, no. She's in a box. And according to quantum mechanics, she's either fine or not fine. And I really don't want to think about it. No, these are new pets.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Molly, just tell us which animals are missing!

MOLLY BLOOM: I don't want to tell you because I'm afraid you'll judge me for having even more unusual pets.

ROSIE DUPONT: Molly, we won't judge you. Right, Ruby?

RUBY GUTHRIE: I promise not to judge you much.

MOLLY BLOOM: See? She's judgy like a judge.

ROSIE DUPONT: OK, OK. How about this? If you won't tell us what animals you're looking for, can we guess?

MOLLY BLOOM: Like a game?

ROSIE DUPONT: Uh, sure, yeah. You'll give us hints about the pets you've lost, and we'll guess the animals. If we're right, you have to tell us.

MOLLY BLOOM: Does this game have a name?

RUBY GUTHRIE: We'll call it Name That Pet.

[MUSIC PLAYS]

MOLLY BLOOM: I have three pets that are missing. Each round, I'll give you three hints for one animal. And at the end of the round, you guess what the animal is. If you get it right, I'll tell you. If you get it wrong, the animal will remain a mystery. Does that make sense?

RUBY GUTHRIE: Yes.

ROSIE DUPONT: Yes, I think so.

MOLLY BLOOM: Great. Here's round one.

[DING]

My first animal is very furry. He has a long neck. Many confuse him for a llama.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Llama! Oh.

[LAUGHTER]

MOLLY BLOOM: And I first saw this creature in Peru. What animal is it?

RUBY GUTHRIE: Alpaca!

MOLLY BLOOM: Very nice job. It is an alpaca.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Thanks.

MOLLY BLOOM: His name is Albert. OK, here's round number two.

[CHIMES]

This one's a tad harder. My second animal has over 300 rows of teeth but barely uses them. He has--

RUBY GUTHRIE: Shark?

MOLLY BLOOM: Yes, it is a shark, but I want you to be specific about what kind of shark. He has no bones, and he can live to be 100 years old. He's a slippery fellow, too. And the name has something to do with another creature that you find--

ROSIE DUPONT: Tiger shark.

MOLLY BLOOM: Oh, under the water.

RUBY GUTHRIE: [GASPS] Oh, oh, oh. Frog shark. Octopus shark.

MOLLY BLOOM: It's a mammal-- oh, a mammal that swims under the ocean.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Oh, I was going to say a pineapple--

ROSIE DUPONT: Dolphin shark.

MOLLY BLOOM: You're so close. Whale Shark.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Yeah, whale shark!

ROSIE DUPONT: Whale shark, that's a thing?

RUBY GUTHRIE: Yeah!

ROSIE DUPONT: Oh, my gosh.

MOLLY BLOOM: His name is Wally.

ROSIE DUPONT: Oh, Wally.

MOLLY BLOOM: Wally the whale shark. OK, the final round.

[DING]

This one's going to knock your socks off. My third animal can be found on every continent except for Antarctica and Australia. She only eats carrion, meaning she only eats--

ROSIE DUPONT: Vulture!

MOLLY BLOOM: --animals-- yes!

RUBY GUTHRIE: Whoa.

ROSIE DUPONT: Whoa.

MOLLY BLOOM: Here's a cool fact about my vulture Viola. She poops on her legs to keep herself cool.

ROSIE DUPONT: Oh.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Yeah, really?

ROSIE DUPONT: What a great technique. Maybe her poop isn't smelly.

MOLLY BLOOM: It's smelly.

ROSIE DUPONT: Oh, gosh.

RUBY GUTHRIE: You know, whatever you got to do on a hot day.

[LAUGHING]

MOLLY BLOOM: Well, good job, you two. Don't I have such interesting creatures?

ROSIE DUPONT: You do. Oh, my gosh. And now that we know so much about them, we can help you look for them.

MOLLY BLOOM: Thanks, you guys. With you and the others, I'm sure we'll find my pet soon.

RUBY GUTHRIE: Who else is helping you look?

MOLLY BLOOM: Aron Woldeslassie and Marc Sanchez said they would help. Oh, look! There they are right now.

[SQUEAKING]

ROSIE DUPONT: Molly, that's clearly an alpaca.

MOLLY BLOOM: What? No. Obviously, that's Marc Sanchez. You can tell because of his trademark mustache.

RUBY GUTHRIE: It's just an alpaca with a fake mustache.

MOLLY BLOOM: What? Next, you're going to tell me that's not producer Aron Woldeslassie at the water cooler.

RUBY GUTHRIE: No, that's a whale shark.

ROSIE DUPONT: Molly, you thought that 10-ton fish was our mammal coworker?

MOLLY BLOOM: You two are ridiculous. Aron, come over here and explain to these two that you're not a whale shark.

[MUSIC PLAYING]
